Summer inspiration from Eric and Kari’s Grand Tour of New England Gardens!

| Kari and I just returned from a two-week trip through the New England States. Our days were spent exploring the natural beauty of the areas as well as several botanical gardens. Our ‘Must Do list” included hiking the Watkins Glen Gorge and visiting Longwood Gardens. Per usual, the rest we just found as we went along. We ended up exploring four botanical gardens. All were unique and interesting in their own way. ~ Eric |

| Cady’s Falls Botanical Garden, Basically an abandoned nursery from years back, this little jewel of a garden is tucked away in Vermont. |
| | With nearly 1500 species of plants from all over the world packed into probably a two-acre garden, it is a must-see for plant lovers. |

| The New England Botanical Garden in Massachusetts is 200 acres of beauty. From meadow gardens to orchards and cottage gardens to children’s fairy gardens, this place is vibrant and alive with birds, wildlife, and pollinators. |
| | Their cottage garden was so relaxing that an elderly couple sat down at a small table and were playing cards. With examples of gardens you could actually duplicate at home, the whole place is inspiring. |

| Large-scale and to perfection would best describe Longwood Gardens. Stunning gardens like the white garden above are throughout. |
| | Can you say large scale? The water lily display encompassed 1/3 acre. The attention to detail throughout was Amazing. |

| Morris Arboretum and Gardens was a spectacular surprise. After spending the previous day at Longwood Gardens, we weren’t sure we wanted to risk disappointment. However, at the end of the day, we both enjoyed this last garden better than Longwood. Signage was set up more to educate, and the paths just kept leading from one fantastic view to another. |
| | This “Garden Shed” is incredible. Just one example of the many cool structures on the 100-plus-year-old gardens. |
