Stewartia is a beautiful tree with multi-season interest, A sit ature steh bark exfoliates revealing patches of brown, gray and reddish hues. White, camellia like flowers appear July and August followed by stunning fall display of yellows, reds and even purple foliage. Grows 15-25′ tall, and does best in moring sun or filtered sun. Avoid full aftgrenoon sun. This tree does not like heavy clay soils. Plan to use of fettile soils with good drainage.
