On August 23rd\, we’re taking part in the Great South East Pollinator Census—and you’re invited. Your counts will help scientists learn more about our local bees\, butterflies\, and other beneficial bugs\, and the data you collect supports important pollinator protection projects and research. \nHere’s what’s happening: \n\n\nTake the Census – Spend just 15 minutes observing one plant and counting pollinator visits. We’ll have folding chairs\, recording sheets\, and friendly helpers to guide you. \n\n\nBrand-New Scavenger Hunt – Search the nursery for hidden pollinator surprises. \n\n\nPollinator-Themed Crafts – Creative activities for all ages. \n\n\nThemed Treats – A little something sweet to enjoy while you count and craft. \n\n\nFreebie Fun – Every census participant gets an official certificate\, and all nursery purchases come with a free seed packet to take home. \n\n\nMake it a full dayAt 10 AM\, join our special Kids Club event: \n\n\nA guest from Foxtale Book Shoppe will read The Great Pollinator Count by Susan Richmond. \n\n\nWe’ll make seed balls packed with native seeds—perfect for starting your own pollinator patch. \n\n\nKids Club tickets are $10 and available now on our events page. \n\n\nHow the Census WorksPick a plant\, watch for 15 minutes\, and count every pollinator that lands.
